John Grubbs

CEO, SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital

John Grubbs serves as CEO of SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Bridgeton and SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Lake St. Louis since January 2021. He oversees the hospital’s operational and strategic direction, while providing leadership to the executive team, managers and medical staff. Additionally, John ensures regulatory and compliance approvals with the State Department of Health and other agencies.

John served as an area director of sales and marketing for Kindred Healthcare in addition to roles of increasing responsibility with GSK prior to joining the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network in 2012 as a director of business development. He was promoted to chief operating officer (COO) at Lake Saint Louis in 2017. In addition to his work at the hospital, John is an adjunct faculty member for Healthcare Administration at Lindenwood University.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s in health care administration from Culver-Stockton College and Lindenwood University respectively.
