Medical Director, Richmond Heights

Sri Patchala, M.D.

Sri Patchala

Dr. Sri Patchala has served as medical director for SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Richmond Heights since January 2020. He is responsible for overseeing quality and program development for the hospital while carrying an active caseload.

Board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Patchala previously served as medical director and consulting physiatrist at HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois. Dr. Patchala’s clinical focus areas include inpatient rehabilitation of complex medical conditions, pain management and electro-diagnostic medicine.

He earned his medical degree in India and completed orthopedic surgery residency. After immigrating to United States, he worked at Stanford University, focusing on neuro-degenerative disorders. Upon moving to the St. Louis area in 2012, Dr. Patchala completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Washington University.
